Medium brown color. Aromas of sultanas, date, caramel, bread, honey, spices. Moderate sweetness is balanced with acidity, also light bitterness. Good persistence.

Alfonso X Conquista Cádiz y Sanlucar de Barrameda (El Portal - Alicante): Timid on the nose and something better in the mouth with that expected sweetness, but after Valdespino? It's like a rocket that does not have enough wick to ascend above that PC 95 points? Like tasting 2006 Burgundy, you were drunk my friend.

A Savage Weekend for Chica’s 45th; 5/16/2024-5/19/2024: Punchy, oxidative, nutty, lots of VA here and very much the sherry this sets out to be. Proper punch across too. 89-90
