Great in-store tasting with the Pichon Baron winemaker Christian Seely
Restrained, but clean, nose. Graphite/pencil lead and pepper. Drying tannins. Rich fruit. Hint of metal on the finish.

White pepper on the nose. Lighter than the '015. Fresh, green, austere, backward. Not showing much at this time.

Pronounced oak on the nose. Lighter-bodied w/ medium fruit. Sweet licorice. Soft tannins. Some spice.
Tobacco on the nose. Prominent tannins covering the fruit. High acidity. Would be interesting to try with age, but not doing much now.
Beautiful, intense, fruit-forward now. Silky tannins (more prominent than the '09). Rich, full-bodied fruit. Long, long, finish. Drinking wonderfully already.

Rich, intense nose. Deep fruit dueling the tannins. Great balance w/ well integrated oak. Finish goes on for minutes. Beautiful wine.
Smokey nose. Tobacco. Drying tannins. Soft. Fruit freshness starting to recede. Still rich, but not as pure as the '09/'10. Somewhat green.
