Very youthful, taut, lime zest pith and candied quality, softer slate, peach, a certain sweetness to the nose but bone dry on the palate, wiry and searing acid, started to fill out with some air but needs time, nectarine pit and sour peach, like the mineral; give this some time to uncoil and develop some complexity, bound up tightly right now.
Started off super tight, not giving much, sour cherry, orange, slight green, very sour acid and tannins that clamp down; with more air this opened up, the mid filled out and became more meaty showing more balance though it will need at least a couple years; called '10 Barbaresco.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
See through crimson with orange at rim; nose shows sour cherries, dried roses, orange, aged yet linear, high acid on the palate, shorter finish with drying tannins; everyone in Italy on this one.
Very light ruby pink, see through; pretty nose of soft floral, fresh, strawberries, soft cherry, young and sweet, started off light but put on some weight with air, young and delicate at this stage, not a beefy wine but we will see with some more age.
Pale ruby pink, light extraction; candied rose petals, rose water, soft sweet cherry and strawberry, has to be Rosé clone; palate shows more density, with late tannin and mineral, very young and just developing but potential is there, good fatness in the mid; thought about Vigna Elena but went to Rabaja '13; very good.
Again youthful but not brand new Nebbiolo, soft pretty nose, candied rose, soft sweet strawberry and a bit more red to the cherry, nose is fuller and richer than the Barbarescos from earlier, good breadth on the palate with silky and refined tannins, plush, sexy, sweet and delicious; good now with plenty of age-worthiness; was in Barolo proper here- called '12 Bricco della Viole.
Darker core with orange in the rim; more age here, classic tar, roses, sandalwood, with a denser more developing nose, very appealing balsamic note; sweet red cherry initially with lots of cedar and strong wrap of grainy tannins; called '05 Ceretto, should have gotten this.
Darker core with dull crimson brick rim; chocolate, lots of oak influence here, dense, clay, compact mix of dark and some red fruit, slight roasted quality, aged, mushroom, cedar, leather, tobacco; palate is much less forgiving, incredibly hard tannins, rust, cedar, clamps down in a brutal way on the back end; initially called '03 Pajana but went to '05 Conterno Fantino Sori Ginestra.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Darker core with dull maroon rim; cooked fruit and what seemed like oak on the nose, a ripe modern feel to this, cooked raspberry and plum, currants; palate showed sour acid and very grippy tannin; was on Cabernet; revisiting this showed it was more correct but I'm not a fan of the range of '10s from Jaboulet, seemed much older than it was.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
A bit of oak stands out from this but very pure fruit, juicy red with enough fat while being youthfully taught and streamlined, white rock seems to be expressed here; did not get to taste this blind; very good and needs more time still.

Good lush dark fruit with a nice core of fruit on the palate but damn it's corked. Would like to see a clean bottle.
