• NV Zardetto Prosecco Brut 83 Points

  Italy, Veneto / Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Prosecco

  Bright, simple, and clean. There is really nothing of note about this prosecco, but there's nothing wrong with it either. Very neutral. If you can find it for around a tenner, it would work as an apertif. 82-84

• NV Deutz Champagne Brut Classic 88 Points

  I enjoyed this champagne, and thought the price was more then fair. The mid palate had a little more weight then the roederer, and while it wasn't as biting, the acidity was still quite nice. Fairly simple, but enjoyable champagne. 88-89

  This is actually a rose, with a salmon color. Strawberries and bread on the nose, and the palate, which carries some weight. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this sparkler. 87-88

  Creamy, heavy, rich, sweet. I don't really dig this style, but they did a nice job. And I can add flora to the list of varietals I've tried. 88+
