France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet

Limpid. Smoky red fruit, more feel than the Santenay. The fruit almost shows a bit of sweetness. Tannic finish. I prefer this but wouldn't dream of paying close to $60 for it.
Magnum. Light red. Cranberry, soil, and some reduction. Earth more than fruit, moderate green elements, some char, quite tannic. Bigger than the other reds (the wine as well as the bottle). Needs time, but I find this pretty severe and dry in the early going.
Light with greenish tint. More upfront salinity and iodine than the La Chablisienne wine. More essence of Chablis and less fully fruited. Light but excellent acidity and drive.
Light yellow. Attractive aromas of flowers and lime. Light weight, hint of glycerine, minimal citrus and maximal soil. Flavors otherwise somewhat neutral. Better smell and feel than flavor.
Medium yellow. Like the Bourgogne, sulfur and wood aromas. Rich, round, and nutty with very good acidity. Good substance here, better on the palate, but I think it will always come across as overly oaky.
Light color. Strange combination of bubble gum and tart cherry on the nose. Light to medium weight. Licorice, black fruit, soil, and a short finish. I usually like this wine but found this to be too meager and tart.
Light red center. Brambly wet earth. Medium weight. Dry, dark, earthy fruit with strong acidity, clay base feel, and a metallic edge. Quite a bit to it, but I'm not convinced about the balance.
Pale. Stemmy smelling. Surprisingly sappy attack with some red fruit that is rapidly cut off by a tart, citric finish and moderate tannin. I did not enjoy any of the 3 young Boillot wines today.

Light red. Lovely floral tones. Light, elegant feel. Bright red fruit with an edge of tartness, a touch of cool mint, and a smoky finish. Very Chambolle, very accessible now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

Light ruby with clearing. Smoke and herbs. Medium weight, real sappiness, strong acidity, excellent soil, refined tannins, and moderately oaky. Good material here, and neither too rustic nor austere for Clos Vougeot. Better in 7 or 8 years.

Cloudy. Obvious sulfur. Some peach but tart and austere. Don't care for this at all.
