Flight 1 (3 Notes)

  • 1976 Château Cos d'Estournel 90 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe

Dark ruby. The bouquet is expressive and youthful with cassis and pleasant oak. The acidity and tannin are perfectly ok. Full bodied and firm. Spreads through the whole mouth in a very pleasant way. Already delicious. This wine is in its young adult stage now and will probably improve the next 2 years and has enough power to stay on this level for several years more.

  • 1983 La Rose Pauillac 84 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac

Garnet red. A bit a-typical spicy bouquet with licorice. Sticky tannin. A bit one dimensional, but ok. Give it a few more years.

  • 1984 Château Cos d'Estournel 88 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe

Deep dark purple. The bouquet is completely locked. The wine is full bodied with a lot of sticky tannin and acidity. There is also cassis, liquorice and iron. The long aftertaste has cassis and good bitterness. In its young stage this is an impressive wine for the vintage.
