2016 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Clos Häuserer 93 Points

93+/100. Aromas/flavours of stonefruit, kerosene and wet stone (steely). Off dry, high acidity, med+ body, pronounced intensity, long finish. Very good wine. Can drink now but has definitely ageing potential. That is obvious when you compare it to vintage '08, which is far more complex and has more tertiary notes.

2008 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Clos Häuserer 96 Points

Aromas/flavours of peach, grapefruit, toffee, caramel, nuts and kerosene. Off dry, med+ acidity, full body, pronounced intensity, long finish. A complex and outstanding wine. Performs very well. Probably on the top right now (the first bottle we had was oxidized and deep amber. The outstanding bottle was deep gold)

Magnum, almost youthful aromas, needs several years in the bottle to develop and has the necessary potential because of the acidity and concentration. The rating is based on the performance right now.
