A guided tasting through a range of GG's. the max yield is 50hl/ha but most are in the 35-40hl/ha range. the varietals are restricted by region. The fruit has to be hand-harvested, traditional production and there is regular certification. wines are released in GG embossed bottles. the wines cant be released until the 1st September in the year following harvest

Biodynamic. this is a south facing site comprised of a slope of red slate and red clay running down to the river. Its 80-170m in altitude and the domain has 1 hectare out of 11.32 hectares. 12% a cooler year. Stoney, sweet fruit, some tropical, high acid and very mineral and saline. good length

2013 Schloss Lieser Niederberg Helden Riesling Großes Gewächs

110-190m altitude, south/southwest facing on devonian blue slate. 8.5 hectares of 33.4 hectares. 13%. only the oldest vines go into the GG. showing some maturity here, a touch of honey on the nose, there is round and ripe juicy fruit with bags of acidity to balance it beautifully and a good salty finish
