Nebbiolo versus Cabernet Franc

Introduction
Noël Vanwittenbergh presented with his guest Elisa Forlanelli a tasting of Nebbiolo en Cabernet Franc wines. Elisa introduced with los of charm and knowledge the Nebbiolo wines and Noël did it, in its own way, for the CF wines.
Flight 1 (8 Notes)
I've lost the tasting note of the Bourgueil Nuits d'Ivresse from domaine Breton and I have lost its vintage. The wine was good.
The wines were tasted in combination with the dinner.
Closing
I did not found any resemblance between the two varieties, but who cares. The tasting showed good wines, gave me lots of information about Piedmont (thanks Elisa), had a amiable Noël, a nice dinner and the superb ambiance of the Industrieele Groote Club (and its members).

2017 Pio Cesare Langhe Nebbiolo 91 Points

The bouquet showed some fragrant sweetness, also elegant vanilla and some wood; a slightly ripening medium deep colour. still a bit shy in the midtaste, very pure, elegant and showing more development in the aftertaste with a ripe acidity, good bitters and classic tannins. better in two or three years, I suggest.

Certainly spicy, round and medium+ bodied. accessible. juicy tannins but not as exciting as de '17 Pio Cesare Langhe Nebbiolo; however fun to taste.

Not as balanced and juicy as the '13, but for me with more potential than the '13. More purity, still severe, firm tannins, more complexity. Let's wait some years.
