Nose smells almost confected, in a good way, like a warm pasty. Little bits of mushroom funk too. Definitely get Chenin. Very tart right now. Highly acidic.
2019base. Disg. 9/2021 Pretty salmon color. Tight bubbles. Nose shows garden and spring grass. A bit like a natural soda made from under-ripe black cherries. Lambrusco? Taut. Super taut and wiry right now. Average and not terribly exciting.
Unlike the series of CT notes previous to this one, a sound bottle. And really my WOTN. Pretty stunning at 25. Bright yellow color. Slight sweetness. Savory unmami element with a Chenin roundness under some wisps of acidity. Vibrant and almost seeming youthful. Sails on. Kept evolving.

Darker, orange, aged-tired color. Nose was better than the palate. Didn't get the best read on this. It suffered next to the Papillon. But, interesting in the way older wine can be interesting.
Complex nose of pine, citrus, grass. Says Suavignon Blanc, but with everything dialed up a bit. Complex palate: grapefruit, melon, minerality and acidity. Drinking well, showing little signs of its age. Very good.
Everything you want in aged Cab Franc. Terrific with the quick "cassoulet" Green pepper and earth and a core of red fruit that remains vibrant. Very harmonious and very good.
Very good to great. A bit quieter than the Clape, but it comes on with a subtle depth that is really class. Take some air. Roasted meat, pepper, primal. Very good. Textbook. Better as it opened.
Neck and neck with 98 Jamet next to it. Deep, dark, fall weather-Cornas-nose. This showed a tad fresher initially. Brighter. Polished. Classy. Olive and meat come on. Dark fruit, spice, smoked meat. Almost youthful. Long. Very good.
Drinking well, but showing it's age more than the Clape and Jamet. Very classic, old-school Syrah. Fruit has faded a tad. Meaty and peppery. Olive. Very nice.
