Pop and pour, followed over 3 hours. Fruity, dark and big. I didn't really want to open this, but I'd never had a Sandlands and their next offer just came out. I'm in a wait-and-see mode.
Pop and pour. Mint and slight funk on the nose. Red fruit, green tannin and some beef blood on the palate. This is fabulous, especially for California.
Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
The nose is stewed tomato. The palate shows raisins, cedar, slight funk, dark fruit, cocoa, dried earth and alcohol. The finish seems woodsy and slightly hollow.
Pop and pour, not sweet but a syrupy texture. There is a nice spice and fruit palate, lots of apricots, pear, orange marmalade and a bit of butterscotch.

This is quite chaulky. There's an interesting funk on the nose.

Drank a good-sized glass over an hour. Lemon oil, sea spray, lacquer, slight chaulk and lots of other minerals.
