Nearing the end of the day, many producers were already gone, but I still did not have the time to taste everything I wanted to taste.
Walk around tasting. Wonderful Village wine. More black vs red fruit with sweet and ripe fruit at its core, but enough supporting structure for wonderful balance. Long, lingering finish is impressive. Good weight. Enjoy from 2024.

Walk around tasting. A little more density than Rue de Vergy, but less balance and elegance. Lots here, but hold until 2026 forward.

Walk around tasting. Whole cluster charm on nose, but possibly causes some temporary hollowness in the middle right now. Lots here with plenty of structure, but this needs time. 90-91 point potential, 2028 forward.

Walk around tasting. An excellent vintage for this wine. Ripe black fruit is very well spiced. Rich start followed by emerging good grip, all ending with a wonderfully balanced finish. so much here, 93-95 point potential, 2028 forward.

Walk around tasting. This is a very pretty, very accessible young NSG with enough stuffing to be interesting as well. Charming now, better 2026 forward.

Walk around tasting. Just as interesting as the other Vallerots, but different. Same black fruit but with more brightness and tension. Not quite as fun right now, but same potential, 2027 forward.

Walk around tasting. Black fruit with good density for Village level, slightly firm finish for now. Good+ length.

Walk around tasting. My favorite of the table lineup, fruit is clearly richer and bigger without any obstructions. Pure and precise, this should also drink well young, 2025 forward.

Walk around tasting. Spiced and floral start with gobs of ripe berry aromas. Very good concentration, even for Bonnes Mares, with impressive length. 94-95 point potential, from 2030 forward.

Walk around tasting. Slightly more black vs red fruit, some meat notes, with a sweet core of ripe fruit in the chewy center. Very good young.

Walk around tasting. More red vs black wit good weight, great/ bright/ dancing textures. Very good length, slightly firm middle to finish, better after 2026.

Walk around tasting. Also black fruit, big and powerful, seemed Gevrey-esque to me. Needs a few years, very good 89+ point potential.

Walk around tasting. Even bigger, firmer yet. Dense, ripe black fruit on nose and palate with a spiced middle, good+ length. Also needs 5+ years in the cellar.

Walk around tasting. My fav or the table tasting lineup. Floral, red-fruited start, then the same red fruits combine with lively, minerally textures on palate to make this very charming now, better 2028 forward, 91-92 point potential. Very good length, finessed finish

Walk around tasting. More power vs Baudes, less finesse. Big mostly black fruit with a firm middle and finish. Better from 2030, 90-91 point potential.

Walk around tasting. Balanced ripe black fruit with a sweet cherry core. So tasty now, especially for Village wine.

Walk around tasting. Mostly the same sweet fruit front-and-center with the same sense of balance and approachability, with some more red fruit added in. Vosne-like spice on finish. 90-91 point potential, this will drink well soon.

Walk around tasting. Mostly red fruit, comes across as slightly big for Village level. Like so many 2018s, the tannins are really asserting themselves right now, so this will need a few years in the cellar, better from 2025.

Walk around tasting. Also much bigger and burly vs when tasted from barrel. Same potential, but I wouldn't open until 2030 or later.

Walk around tasting. Less density vs the 2018, but more balance, richness, and certainly more accessible fun.

Walk around tasting. Almost the same volume as the 2018, but more balance and much more charm. Good depth and balance with sneaky length. 91-92 point potential.

Walk around tasting. Certainly fun now, while there is a sense of firm structure providing lift. All red fruit. Very good for its level.

Walk around tasting. Sweet red and black cherry everywhere with excellent volume for its level, this is persistently long for Village wine.

Walk around tasting. More ripe, more power with similar profile. Slightly less layered for now vs the Chambolle AC, but there is further possible upside, 90-91 points, 2026 forward.

Walk around tasting. Bright red fruit is wonderfully rich, slightly sweet in the middle right now, then brightening up with good energy on its nearly firm finish. Lots here, better to cellar 2028 forward.

Walk around tasting. Forward and slightly fleshy fruit, slightly mostly black cherry and berry, some red cherry from middle through finish. Fun now, with good length.

Walk around tasting. Rich enough but seemingly less ripe for the vintage. Very pretty, nicely elegant, will drink well young. 89+ point potential. Planted in 1981.

Walk around tasting. Really wonderful already with so much dense black and red fruit, dense and already balanced. This will drink well young, with layers of flavor already starting to emerge, but will really reward cellar time, better 2025-2044.

Walk around tasting. Just as pretty as the 2019, just a little less dense, slightly more lithe. This will also drink well young, but have a good decade+ life.

Walk around tasting. Whole cluster. Amazing depth for such a young wine, especially in this vintage. Small taste shows unfolding layers already, Excellent 92+ point potential, 2028 forward.

Walk around tasting. ML complete, obviously not yet bottled. Fully destemmed this vintage. Lighter than the 19 or 20 just tasted. plenty of red cherry and berry, with an elegant style about it. Sneaky good length with spice hints, Will also drink well young, 2026-2036, 87+ point potential.

Walk around tasting. ML complete, obviously not yet bottled. Much better density vs the younger vine cuvee, but a similar profile, just slighter black-fruited. Good depth and length, better 2026 forward, 89+ point potential.

Walk around tasting. Starts out rich, easy, and fun, but this doesn't drop off where you expect Village wine to drop. Accessible young, while long-ish, persistent finish. VG for its level.

Walk around tasting. More Vosne-like than NSG, but that's expected from Damodes. Lots of ripe berries everywhere with background spice. Good weight, bright textures are exciting, even if a faint rugged on the finish. Very good now, better 2027 forward, 91-92 point potential. I slightly prefer the potential here over Pruliers.

Walk around tasting. Dense, meaty, and powerful with certainly plenty of ripe fruit with plenty of rare beef. Backward now but with lots here, also 91-92 point potential, from 2030 forward. I slightly prefer the potential of Damodes.

Walk around tasting. All red fruit, very brightly textured and engaging. Already well balanced and nearly elegant. Fun now with upside, 89-90 point potential.

Walk around tasting. Reductive today, so tough to assess, very clearly long and dense with red cherry, berry and plum. Good+ potential, but probably requiring cellar time.

Walk around tasting. spiced nose with ripe black berries and liqueur hints. Long and powerful with layers already coming through with elegant (but big) tannins. Lots here throughout with a long finish with even more. 93-94 point potential, 2030-2050.

Walk around tasting. Slight stink from some sulfur that must have been recently added, but medium/good weight is there.

Walk around tasting. Same sulfur problem as the MSD, but seemingly brighter and riper, so better potential here.

Walk around tasting. Much cleaner the previous wines. More black vs red cherry with faint meaty notes, yet all nicely bright. Sweet cherry finish is very tasty already, 89-90 point potential, 2025 forward.

Walk around tasting. Very rich while wonderfully balanced. Dense and unfolding on long-ish finish. Friends tell me that Georges Lignier wines are good again after many problematic years (or decades) and this wine makes me think that possible. 93-94 point potential, 2028 forward.

Walk around. Also very good, just slightly less density or complexity vs CSD just tasted. Still, very good 92-93 point potential, 2028 forward.

2020 Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Clos de l'Arlot 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Nicely spiced black fruit is fun on nose and palate with a bit of whole cluster that needs another year to fully integrate. Lots here with good balance and sneaky good length.

2017 Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Clos de l'Arlot 88 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Bright red fruit is starting to age gracefully, but all dominated by spice which seems too whole cluster. Still, very good.
