Appearance - dark garnet with red hues Nose - quite dark fruited nose with some forest floor. Mainly blackberries, ripened strawberries Palate - this wine def needs a decant. Flavours are quite intense from the first sip. notes of blackberries, some ripe strawberries. Lots of earthy forest floor notes, with some oak endings. Tannins are abundant and still little unsettled. Needs at least another 3 years to settle down before the flavours balance out. Very long finish that lingers on for long time.
Not bad wine, just question its value for the quality produced compared against other similar priced wines

absolutely sensational villages wine. IMO, the critics reviewed this a little too early. Gorgeous lifted red fruits, its akin to drinking liquid candy floss. Incredibly finessed and fine, a wine to savour over the next decade. it doesn't have the complexity of a great GC, but it's enjoyment and drinkability are astounding. Very highly recommended.

Domaine Amiot-Servelle Visit and Tasting (Chambolle-Musigny): Barrel tasting at the domaine. From 6 plots across the village, average 40-45 yo vines, 50% whole cluster, 20-25% new oak. Lots of red fruit with crunchy textures. More firm and tannic vs MSD Village, but more density as well. Cellar until 2024-

Dark color with black/red fruit. Fruit-sweet not warm as feared. Will for sure do better in 2-3 years.

Quatuor en Harmonie (Morey-St-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-St-Georges) - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château de Gilly-lès-Cîteaux): Walk around tasting. Mostly red fruit, comes across as slightly big for Village level. Like so many 2018s, the tannins are really asserting themselves right now, so this will need a few years in the cellar, better from 2025.
