France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
Walk around tasting. An excellent Village wine with a broad array of apple aromas and flavors, broad and powerful, with seemingly 1er Cru density. Very good now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Complex combination of floral, apple, and stone fruit aromas and flavors with a spiced finish. Structure is ever-present but always in the near background, this is intense with excellent near-Grand Cru density.
Walk around tasting. Riper apple with toasted almonds, this is less bright than the Meursault but bigger with 1er Cru-like power and density, very good length. Better to cellar at least another year.
Walk around tasting. Something new, and only done once. Harvest on October 25th (298th day of the year), this is bright and faintly sweet with good acidity. Easy to enjoy now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Apple with hazelnut and crunchy mineral textures on long finish. Classic Perrières styling, and the only bad thing I can say is that the Charmes-Dessus is again better in 2019. Good already, but better in another year or two.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Plenty of orchard fruit here as well, but bigger and even better balance than Perrières. Good already, but better in another year or two.
Walk around tasting. Another excellent performance for this Bourgogne from within/near Perrières. Floral, well balanced and charming with rich orchard fruit start-to-finish. Good now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Slightly reductive start which makes it also slightly awkward, even while rich. Powerful middle shows citrus and orchard fruit with good+ weight, ending with a long finish. Needs time.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Walk around tasting. Floral, peach and citrus aromas, then mostly stone fruited flavors, very ripe but clearly balanced as well. Good length, good already now.
