Ken's Cozy Cote Rotie's and some fine tequila's

We had trouble getting the entire group together, it gets so hard in the summer but we were able to cobble together 4 of us for this tasting

• 2018 Aubert Chardonnay CIX Estate Vineyard 95 Points

  USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast

  A complete wine in terms of bouquet, palate, depth of flavor and finish. Notes of lemon, honeysuckle touch of vanilla and biscuit on the nose. The WOnderful texture on the palate, creamy with a healthy presence of acidity and wonderful textures. Aubert chards are year in year out exceptional and this 2018 CIX continues that legacy.

  Higher-toned perfumed nose with a blend of red and darker fruits. Tight on the finish with a touch of smoke. Groups tied for 3/4 (my 2/4)

  Rocks and stones, earth, blackberry on the nose. The finish on this wine is superb. Group 1/4 (my 10/4)

  The nose is on the jammier side with dark fruits and minerals. The palate does not carry the jammy notes from the nose, finish has a touch of astringency. Group tied for 3/4 (my 4/4)
