Beautiful showing of various vintages of LRA 904 with a group of folks in the Venn diagram that is not uncommon — between Iberophiles and Oenophiles. Paired with homemade Seafood Paella, homemade Croquetas, and store-bought Tortilla (following a failed attempt), as well as Jamon Iberico.

A massive wine. Perfect balance of oak and bright acidity and fruit. Salted caramel drizzled on top of buttered popcorn, popping acidity, a sensual black cherry, just a hint underripe.

Most Burgundian of the bunch with the prototypical Vosne-Romanee notes. Cherry coke, cola syrup, some VAs and plastic as well.

Definitely the most interesting bottle of the vertical. Medicinal herbs, omnipresent oak, hints of chocolate, acidity just starting to dip. This is a wine that is absolutely within the peak of his drinking window.

So young out of the big bottle (1.5L mag). Cherry, chocolate, not a 100% cacao though definitely dark. Balance of oak and acidity, will be singing for many years to come.
