Not too much on the nose. Pear, cream, lime peel. Medium body. Light flavour, particularly in the mid-palate, with some oyster shell and a slight green note. Characterful rather than delicious - came alive with some food.
Smoke, tobacco, plum, still some vanilla from the oak. On the palate, smooth tannin and a little darker & more brooding compared to the Nicassia. Spicy flavours with bramble and blackcurrant. Full bodied, high tannin but smooth and plush. Didn't show quite as well as my previous bottle likely due to being tasted in a group.
A little lighter, more floral, and brighter than the Fortunae Terrae. Some slightly candied aromas on the nose. Fine tannin and higher acidity than the others. Superb fruit but excellent transparency through to earth and stones.
Funky, smoke, toast, quite rustic. A little tar and balsamic but somehow cool on the nose. Long, juicy finish of red fruits. Crowd pleasing but perhaps a little one-dimensional.

Smells like Vin Santo - raising, stewed fruit. Bone dry. Salty and savoury.
