Notes here are just the 6 LD and some other notable bottles. Not including notes for all the wines.

These were served blind over several flights, but organizing the 6 here in order of preference. I'd say they were all delightful, but the Carelles definitely stood out as 'wow'.

  Medium oxidative. Quite toasty/brioche nuttiness. Brilliant rich peach fruit. Delightful. Best of the lieu dits this evening

  Slight VA that blows of. Sweet oxidative nuttiness. A hint of chalk, but plenty of rich fruit.

  Light oxidative. Piercing acidity with very youthful vibes. This btl especially got much better with air and upon revisit. Really good by the end of the night.

  Relatively slightly darker in color. To me this showed some red berry fruit, along with apples and pear. Higher in acidity, and felt a bit more mature.

  Slight oxidative, almond nuts, with high acidity. Shows on the lean side with more minerality than fruit

• NV Ulysse Collin Champagne Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 96 mois Les Enfers

  Everything dialed to 11. Intensity throughout. high acid, super racy, vibrant, energetic. Fresh and youthful with a ton of fruit. Impossible to find again probably, but would love to sit with this bottle over a longer period of time. Wonderful wine.

• NV Ulysse Collin Champagne Extra Brut (2016) Le Jardin d'Ulysse

  Distinctly different than the selossey wines :). Chalk and mineral based by green apple and pear fruit. With air a saline and seashell note comes out, as well a hit of ginger. Wow btl.

  Again unmistakably selosse. definitively oxidative in style, with layers of fruit, mushroom, and earthiness. Good acidity keeps it fresh. lovely wine.
