Introduction

Enjoyed this better than the Barolo back in Feb. Faset was most enjoyable between the straight Barbaresco while the Asili was my vote between the VVs.

  • 2012 Savart Champagne Premier Cru La Dame de Coeur 94 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru

2000 bottles produced, disgorged Nov 2016 with 2g/l dosage. Pop this after a disappointing L’accomplie last week. This was singing, the usual high tone red fruits notes, bruised red apple, lemon, mango, banana. Structured palate with gooseberry, tropical fruits, red apple, cream, high acid, full body, creamy mousse with a long finish. As it lose its bubble, it became very vinous.

  • 2016 Roagna Barbaresco Albesani 94 Points

    Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

Pale ruby, meaty, bacon, some rose, airy aromas. Palate had orange peel, strawberry, meaty. This was the more masculine compared to the earlier 2 but lots of going on in the palate. Would benefit with more air or age.
