  New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough

  Dry, red cherries, currants, berries, a touch reductive, palate showing structure, high acidity, ripe cherries, strawberry, a touch aggressive as it is on its own, would be much better (and more interesting) trying to pair it with food, full body, long finish

• 2022 Tony Bish Chardonnay Golden Egg

  New Zealand, North Island, Hawke's Bay

  Bright, smoky, toast, fresh, citrus, some quince notes, dense, full on in the palate, juicy
  Palate is smoky again, high acidity, lime, lemon, citrus, stone fruit, apricot, a touch warm, high acidity, long finish

• 2021 Tony Bish Chardonnay Heartwood

  New Zealand, North Island, Hawke's Bay

  Full on oak forward nose, fine and flinty, smoky and toasty, nutty, almond, the fruit lies in the back
  Palate is juicy, the oak is more in balance, lime, juice fruit, toasty again, nutty, med body, med finish

  New Zealand, North Island, Hawke's Bay

  60% new oak
  Tight, flint, toasty, fruit in the back, citrus peel in the back, pear, fruit way in the back
  Palate is very juicy, full body, toasty, ripe fruit, tight, high acidity, bacon notes, crunchy, youthfully aggressive, long finish

  France, Champagne

  70% Chardonnay (selected plots from the Cote de Blancs) and 30% Pinot Noir, 12 years on lees, 5gr/lt dosage

  The wine shows high intensity, very ripe stone fruit, creamy, vanilla, biscuit, citrus concentrate, poached pear, herbal notes, sage
  Palate shows full body, high intensity, high carbonation, very creamy, ripe fruit, stone fruit again, herbal notes, long finish
  There is a mineral element too cutting the ripe fruit character
  Very aggressive price

  Bright, fesh, ripe berries, blue and black, vibrant, floral notes
  Palate is again juicy, velvety smooth, a touch warm, ripe fresh, blue berry, med body, med finish
  Easy to drink on its own

• 2019 Clos Puy Arnaud Cuvée Les Ormeaux

  France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

  75% Merlot 25% Cabernet Franc, 14%
  Fresh, earthy, nutty, ripe fresh, red and blue berry, herbal freshness, elegant, a thin nutty layer, a bit warm too
  Palate is juicy, elevated acidity, some gamey/irony notes, smooth tannins, warm from alcohol, more oaky here, cuts really short

• 2017 Clos Puy Arnaud

  France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

  80% Merlot 20% Cabernet Franc, 13.50%, bottle opened and poured
  Juicy, vibrant, full on blue fruit, loads of gamey notes, bloody, iodine
  Palate showing the same profile, very fresh and youthful , nice acidity, juicy tannins, med to full body.
  Needs time to open up but again lacks finish

• 2016 Clos Puy Arnaud

  France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

  70% merlot 25% cabernet franc 5% cabernet sauvignon, 14%
  Heady, bright, earthy, fruity, smoky, full on fruit, thick oak frame, with itme you also get some iodine/gamey notes
  Palate needs some time, the tannins are more grippy (compared to 2017 tasted before), tight texture, structured, some herbal notes, the fruit is blacker, the acidity is there, a touch warm with med to long finish
