Light gold color. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Red apple, ripe melon, toast, chalk, green orchard fruit, and some some ripe nectarie, creamy texture and nice freshness. 93+ to 94pts.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Light gold color. Drank a glass double blind over an hour. This started out rather introverted, and slowly unraveled to show its class. Lemon, ocean minerality and earthiness, beeswax, stone, pear skins, honeycomb. This becomes more expansive and really build in the glass over time. It's all there, but needs a bit of coaxing to come and play. 93+ to 94pts.
Light gold plus color. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Peach pit, apricot, lychee, tart unripe mango, parafin, spicy, really shows that shellac character on the back end which gives it that sharpness on the back end. Showing some alcohol too. Have one more to compare at some point.
Dark red color. PNP, open an hour before serving. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Cassis and dark berries with an in and out perfume, red cherry, lacquer, very dry, and a little brown sugar note showing through. A little more advanced bottle.
Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Black and blue fruits, dense and penetrating on the palate, tar, charcoal, still herbal, firm but approachable tannins. Very good, just needs the time and/or air. 92-93pts.
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
Dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. Very dark fruit, this is good, yet it still feels rather youthful. Tight knit and dense, with a full body, cassis, boysenberry, lots of mineral notes, some earth and dried herbs with a oak on the finish and a dried violet kicker. Very good. 92(+)pts.
