  • 1980 Warre Porto Vintage 93 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Amazingly young for a 40+ yr old vintage port. Some coolness/menthol on palate, which was surprising. Not a profound bottle, but very nice. Just a bit, dare I say, boring?!!

  • NV Graham Porto 40 Year Old Tawny 92 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Surprising acidity; not as mellow as expected for a 40yr old tawny. Almost tart!! Good but a little bit disappointing vs expectations.

  • 1994 Graham Porto Vintage 91 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Hot nose; full and hedonistic on palate. This is open for business, albeit still pretty primary at this stage, and because of the lack of much tertiary stuff for me a bit simple. But *masses* of stuffing left in this, and be thrilled to have a lot of this in the cellar!

  • 1997 Graham Porto Single Harvest Tawny 94 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Really long. Brilliant and really bright 'tawny' characteristics. Obviously much younger, but this is so much more direct/linear than the Grahams 40yr old blend tasted alongside. *Really* good.

  • 2000 Warre Porto Vintage

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Pretty punchy. Hint of nail varnish remover; fruit is for me in a bit of a dumb phase. Still closed? Or perhaps a sub-optimal bottle. not rated.

  • 1963 Warre Porto Vintage 97 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Wow. Pretty transparent. Real sweetness; full of fruit and life. Absolutely ageless. Perfect provenance (BBR's cellars since released) which no doubt helped! Might be the best port I've ever drunk.

Flight 3 (2 Notes)

  • 1997 Graham Porto Vintage 92 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Little bit neither here nor there; but there's fruit and generosity. Not closed by any means but still just a little bit in transition.

  • 1970 Graham Porto Vintage 93 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Quite developed. Little bit less backward and more developed than the outstanding W63 tasted alongside. Pretty punchy; there's a real weight to this that builds and builds.
