  Gunpowder, a bit of stench, mineral, pretty, bitter and smoky herbs of Provence. Very long on the palate.

  Very bitter, the vintage is showing limits. Unpleasant dried fruit.

  Bittersweet tannins, very mineral, some woodsy notes. Very strong cherry. The wine needs to still integrate.

  Massive on the palate, cherries, a bit metallic. Toffee burnt caramel notes. Very mineral and again bitterness in the aftertaste.

  Spice box, a lot of mineral weight, lots of licorice, cheese. Chemical notes with lime and passion fruit.

  Very pretty nose, tobacco, metallic blood, again very mineral. Very long kirsch, quite a bit of tannins. Herbs and fruit sweetness.

  Stinky barrel, lots of wood here. Thyme, mineral character. Much more rustic than the cuvee Chaupin.

  Sweetness, cola spice, tobacco leafs. Much thinner body than the other wines in the flight, maybe a cooler vintage? Nice acidity and more tobacco and roses as it opens up.

  A bit more body than the regular CDP, lots of aromatics, cola, but less drinkable at this point than the regular CDP.

Admittedly, CDP is not my thing. However, thanks so much to Roland for sharing this incredible flight. My impression from reading the scant notes I took at the time, is that the younger wines were more drinkable whereas the older ones were essentially not that ready.
