2006 Duemani Cabernet Franc Duemani 93 Points

Tasted during Duemani portfolio wine tasting.
Dark garnet core just a slight brick red edge showing hints of age. Lifted nose and very expressive, showing balsamic, spice, sour cherry, red berries, plum and perfume oak.
It has some rustic feel on palate, but very polished, along with subtle flavor of sour cherry, balsamic, blackcurrant and some leathery notes. Really nice sweet tannins with fine soft grip.
It seems getting ready with nice complexity but still need few more years to peak. For a wine made from young vines that planted in 2001, this is indeed very impressive with its quality. However, it does not show much of the varietal expression that I familiar with. If tasted blind I can still relate to Italy but would be hard-pressed to tell it is a Cab Franc. That said, this is a more terroir driven wine.

2007 Duemani Cabernet Franc Duemani 92 Points

Intense dark red with brick red hue, which look more develop in appearance compare to '06.
Indeed it shows some development on the nose with earthy balsamic notes interwoven with dried cherry, smoke, tobacco, sweet currant fruits. Subtle and elegant.
Soft and perfume entry, pretty structure, exhibits earthy rustic tones along with blackcurrant, blackberry, dried cherry and hints of leather. Nice long lingering finish with chewy tannins.
Among the 06,07,10 and 11 tasted tonight, this is drinking very well tonight.

2010 Duemani Cabernet Franc Duemani 94 Points

Tasted during Duemani portfolio wine tasting.
Appearance is intense dark red and almost opaque.
Perfume nose with black berry, sour cherry, smoky undertones and hints of licorice. 15 to 18 months aging in new french oak but the oak integration here is surprisingly well even at this young age.
Smooth & fresh on entry, and it is dense and rich on palate, exhibits ripe fruits, blackberry, cassis, vanilla oak & licorice. Full bodied and plenty of structure here, yet possess a bright acidity backbone. A well made and balance wine. It has nice long finish with ripe and chewy tannins.
This is my personal favourite of tonight's lineup. Still very primary but it should have huge aging potential. A wine that I will tuck away in my cellar and open after 10 years.

2011 Duemani Cabernet Franc Duemani 93 Points

Dark and intense red with vibrant crimson hue.
Lots of fruits on the nose, with black berry, black cherry, toasted oak and hints of fresh herbs.
Good acidity showing up on palate with rich fruits flavours, black cherry, black fruits and subtle oak. It has good concentration and structure. Ripe tannins and long persistent finish.
Very primary and well made, although not as dense and powerful as '10.
