Thanks again to David for letting me come. unfortunatelly i only got there at 3pm and had about an hour to taste. Also a few of the wines seemed a bit warm by this point which may reflect in the scores.
sweet citrus. rich and tangy but a bit fat. good

very much a white burgundy note, some oak and butter, great citrus lift. good finish. would love to see this age a bit more and the oak integrate. good stuff!

trully rioja. this is what i imagine the CUNE of the 60's tasted when young. imagine since i obviously wasnt there. but all the "stuff" is here for long aging. 92 now - probably be more with time. cant wait till 2001 comes out.

young and tough now. looots of power, sweet tobacco, tannic. needs time...lots of it but great potential

this is the "modern style" wine. best selections, gravity pressed, long fermentation, 9 month new oak and racking 3 times.
Now this doesnt make it a positive for my pallate BUT...:)
blueberry and cassis, rich with powerfull acids, tannic, very young yet has the power to age. (also avalible in 500ml bttls)
its a finely crafted wine and one that manages to cobine the power and the balance. great job.

powerfull modern wine, barolo-like tannins here, rich extracted and a touch bitter (scorched earth??) give it years to mellow but i think the potential is there

Tannic very rich, showing vintage character, touch bitter. perhaps better integrated with time?

this is very modern to my pallate but this is also VERY good. tons of sweet black fruit, richer riper and yet more balanced with a mineral streak. needs time but very good indeed.
