Mature and oxidative, but really vigorous on the palate, fruitcake richness, fine old champagne. Returning to it later it had gone marmitey, but agreeably so

Catty, high toned, melon fruit, and with a petrol tone that made it taste old. Interesting rather than charming.
Sweaty, buttery nose, fat and waxy on the palate, sweet, nutty, luxurious texture - with the scallops the flowers and minerals twinkled through
This smelled sweet. Tangy, beautifully focused riesling, lip-smacking acidity - my favourite of the whites

Bright, full, sweet cherry fruit, this was really refined. Beautiful
This was shy on the nose, smooth, elegant and mature, a hint of oxidation, and still some grip, but overall a lovely stately mature burgundy
Served blind. Very pale, this had us guessing at early 70s/late 60s. Sweet cherry menthol fruit, lovely glossy texture, gentle, fine
Served blind. Cloudy, and there was a touch of TCA. A shame, as one could sense a really beautiful wine underneath the taint.
After all those burgundies one might have expected this to stick out, but this came over as plush and elegant, without being particularly distinctive
Shy on the nose, but on the palate very elegant with cherries and violets, velvety texture, so refined
Served blind: rich, ripe, with a fair bit of the farmyard, but so much savoury fruit underneath - a nice contrast to the oh so refined Vajra
Gorgeous, lush, nutty sweet wine, amazing intensity
There are further notes and discussion on the UK wine-pages forum here but sadly the photos seem to have disappeared.
