  Really cool bottle. Nice crisp minerality.
  At 14.8% alcohol this actually shows a little spice on the finish.
  Nice rocky strawberries. Lush and crisp at the same time.
  Excellent palate prepping for an awesome tasting.

• 2007 Pax Vénus 92 Points

  USA, California, Sonoma County, Bennett Valley

  Loved this wine. Vibrant bright golden color.
  Lots of honey on the nose. Obnoxious honey actually, right in your face. Love it though!
  Full of yellow flowers and fruit. This wine just screams YELLOW. Fermented in concrete and stainless steel.
  Nice round mouth feel for wine that saw little or no oak.
  Thus far, I have loved Rhone Styled whites from Cali.

  Ripe spicy berries. Kirsch component too.
  Excellent life and showing well and balanced for a young '07.

  Rich and extracted showing plums and dark roast coffee.
  Young with a lot of potential.
  A little hot on the back end.

  Blue fruit. Coal and tar. Nice earth and smoked meat.
  But mostly. Blue Blue Blue fruit.
  Little hot with great grip on the finish.

  Tasted from a magnum. Fantastic. WOTD.
  Very Rhone Hermitage like with accessible palate showing rustic red fruit with great depth.
  Lots of earthy smoke. Layered fruit. Awesome.
