Saw this on Winebid for a good price ($35) so rolled the dice. Wow, this was good and that combined with low expectations usually results in a higher score for me.
Uber-smooth, mellow with subtle dark fruit.
Just a glorious drinking experience.
I wouldn't wait on these as more time may further mute the remaining fruit.

This has the earthiest nose on a Clarice that I can recall, with those elements slowly falling into balance with dark cherry, mountain strawberry, black plum, baking spice, and chocolate. It’s medium bodied with mostly polished, finely grained tannin and slightly crunch acid. It’s pretty seamless, and a bit thinner than the SLH. Flavors hit on Bing cherry, cranberry, licorice, clove, and black plum. They all get sweeter over time, although a rustic element remains. I don’t love it at this stage, but the potential it’s showing is significant. The brisk acid and gritty, medium density seem a better fit for consumption in five to ten years.

Big, full of fruit, a little sweet. Honestly doesn’t taste much different than it did 5 years ago. Plenty of life left in this bottle.

Another tasting of this bottle a while later, perhaps my first bottle was a little bit off. This bottle was spot on, absolutely vibrant fruit, it felt like the wine was at peak and was absolutely singing. It had that typically luscious SLH fruit, gorgeous cherries, red berries, plum and a nice little hint of spice. This one had plush mouthfeel a very pretty finish.

Overall very sensuous and an utter pleasure to drink. Morgan typically makes very solid wine, and as far as the region goes they tend to be longer lasting than most.

Dark red gig body (4.2%) wine. Floral nose followed by smooth plum and black cherry fruit. Nice finish with a hint of minerality. This wine needs several more years to fully mature.

Candied cherry, cola, gravel. Slight smoky character. In Loring style, heftier than a typical pinot and showing a good deal of fruit after a decade.

PnP that performed pretty consistently across two hours. Bright, clear with no real sign of age to the garnet core. Aromas are red/dark red fruit, flowers and soil in that order. Seems to be at/near apogee for my palate; didn't care for it on release, too much of everything. Should show at a high level for several more years. 14,7% abv. In its current form, it's highly recommended for those that prefer new world wines.

PnP, spice and wild berry, anise, cedar, spice, earthiness, and a hint of herbal. Loaded with flavor showing black fruits, anise, earth, herbal. forest floor, cedar. Medium body leads to a long smooth finish with soft tannins. Has not declined at all, no hurry to open.

Opened this far too early, but I’ve had nothing from the producer previously, and didn’t know if it’d be worth cellaring. Well, I should have know it’d be decent if given only the prestige of the vineyard.

Sourced from the famous Pisoni/Franscioni vineyard — one of my favorites from SLH and consistently quality.

The wine is clearly very young but the nose here is promising. Lovely spiced raspberry liqueur, cherry cola, cedar and pepper. Oak is somewhat prominent but that’s to be expected.

Palate is weighty but well made — sinewy tannin with bright high acid.

Overall — very tasty but more interested in potential here. I will love to see where this goes with a couple years.

People like to say comparison is the thief of joy. In this case it may well be true. I drank this along a set of classically styled old world pinots and this did not fare well. Muddled with imprecise flavors, "sweet", slightly oaky. It was my first Kosta Browne, and I was not impressed. Here's the thing, when I decanted it at home it smelled incredible, I stole a small sip and it seemed fine, tight, but good. But when I tasted it side by side with other pinots it stood out as something different, and lost in the comparison. I might give KB yet another try all by itself.
