OVERALL: Lovely nose, but a bit light/thin in the mouth? I suspect this will be better in 1-2 years time. TOTAL SCORE for now 84 points.

Moestue’s book launch of «The New Vignerons» (Grand Cafe, Oslo): Nose: Great nose.
Taste: More robust (than Las Iruelas). Fruitiness and a lot of mineral “spice”.

Nose: Initially a bit muted.
Taste: Great fruit, stone minerality.

Appearance: Dense colour. Medium to deep purple. Some fine sediment.
Nose: Lots of dark berries and fruits; blueberries, bilberries, blackberries, dark plums. Spices; vanilla, cedar wood, some (moderate) oak wood. Hints of liquorice and dark chocolate. Quite massive, but with a lot of charm, even some elegance and complexity. (90p)
Taste: Fruity; again the same dark berries and fruits, rounded but noticeable wood tannins. It seems to have gotten a healthy dose of rather new, toasted oak, a bit too much for my taste, but not completely overdone. The sweetness of the fruit just manages to balance it out. (86p)
Modern, but very well made and quite charming. Nose (90p) better than taste (86p). Drinking well now. Might improve, might not, over the next 3-5 years. Total score 88 points.
