It also offers totally charming aromas of red/black cherry, currant and raspberry, with hints of sweet kirsch. The taste is transparent, yet intense and focused, with dry juicy fruit, fresh acidity, firm mineral grip, outstanding tension, sustain and length. We had the three latest Lapierre vintages a few days ago - this is actually better than their '11 and equal at least to their '10. To our tastes, this is a virtually perfect cru beaujolais - and a stunning wine! |
