Grapefruit, tangerine, canteloupe melon and lime combine with crushed rocks, limestone and herbal notes of fennel and sage. Superb length. My first time with this vintage, and I'm loving it. |

The 2007 vintage in Dundee has been early drinking wines in general, but the best reds and whites have had a fantastic perfumed presence - real sniffer wines. This is indeed such a pleasant wine; to rest one's nose hovering over a wide boule de Bourgogne glass, in order to enjoy the truffle like pungency, toasted hazelnuts, lemon cream and many other delicate nuances of this John Paul chard. A bit oxidized - this reminds me of an aged Dom Perignon. Lots of acidity. Flavors of lemon cream, honey, and maybe a touch of pineapple. Tangy lingering finish. Outstanding. Past its peak, due to the oxidation. |

Fine persistence. Reasonably elegant right now, and a few more years age may bring rewards as the acidity softens and a bit of complexity emerges. Reminiscent of a top-notch village Burgundy, in a traditional style. |

Although I appreciate JPs wines for what they are, I have found I still prefer the Cameron wines that don't have excessive brett and funk and this is one of these more pure and clean pinots. Love it! |
