Spicy as all get-out on the nose, with anise, black pepper, chewing tobacco, over top of mesquite, prunes, plum caked, and some smoked sausage. Light tannins and medium acidity. The palate sports raspberry jam and plum cake, mixed with roasted red bell pepper, sage, eucalyptus, and lots of spiced tea. Doesn’t have a long life ahead, but I really liked this one’s unique, spicy, airy profile. Tasted blind, I guessed this as a Napa Cab Franc from the late 90s.

Aromatically intense and a bit confusing, but I like it: saline, almond skin, dill, lime zest, and lemon peels. The palate is taut and nervy with grapefruit and green apples, which is accented by a unique blend of mint, dill, grass, nettle, white pepper. It kinda smells like a muskrat sprayed a grapefruit tree. But in a good way. It cleaned up with air.

Natty but fun on the nose with honeyed pears, salted orange peel, yellow flowers. Racy acidity, plump and creamy texture, and flavors of peaches and yellow plums. Nice honeyed white tea tones. Quite complex and a nice surprise.
