The wine has a medium intensity ruby color.

The nose is very Italian and, in my book, typical Chianti with sour, dark cherries, fresh basil and sage and some dusty gravel. Not complex but enjoyable.

On the palate the wine is dry with a medium acidity, medium body and medium(-) tannin. It is refreshing and easy-drinking and paired very well with our Pici al Ragu. Surprisingly young for it's age and will definitely hold it together for another 1 or 2 years.

Very good QPR at 7€ (69SEK)!

Mörk, lite övermogen frukt, körsbärskärnor. Tjära (tågvirke) Efterhand lite ljusare bär (hallon, smultron). Mandel. Mycket syra, lite bitter, torra och ganska försiktiga tanniner.

A clear, medium intense ruby colour (with a touch of garnet to the rims).

The nose is clean with medium intense aromas of roasted oak, coffee beans, roasted cocoa beans, ash, some dried fruit, cherries and a slight aromatic rose blossom note.

On the palate the wine is dry with a medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium+ alcohol, medium body. The flavours are medium intense with dried fruit, some wood, earth, stalks and cherries. The finish is medium.

This is quite nice, though I've had this a couple of times before I can't remember the new oak being so distinct as in this bottle. And even though this is a type of roasted oak I enjoy, it somewhat drowns the rather delicate aromas of cherries and earth in a sea of coffee and chocolate. Not a big or complex wine, but with a slender structure, refreshing acidity and high drinkability! This was my last bottle, I can't see this getting much better though and should probably be put high on the priority list.

Basic but quite nice chianti. Indescriptive nose with some cherries, sage, tar and raw fresh cabbage. High acidity with a decent fruit and decent length. No tannins to speak of. Quite refreshing and good QPR

This definitely holds its own as a Chianti. Rather thin, but leaves a smooth finish. While very fruity, I also experienced hints of pepper and spices.

Pure red fruit, almost like Pinot with strawberry, sourcherry and with something stablelike in the end. The taste is slim with lots of red berries, acid and a personal darker finish. The end is pretty long with more berries.

Serious chianti with cherry cores, cherries, black tea, leather, gravel earth, black pepper, dried herbs and hot stones. Fresh acidity, tight core midpalate, with spicy energy and good length. Has equal measures of power, purity and elegance.

Decent chianti with a nose of red cherries, green vegetables and a little hint of vanilla. The taste is acidic and sharp and appears a little thin but yet with a decent amount of fruit. To me buying great wine equals that feeling of excitement when you put the wine away in your cellar and almost can't wait to try this wine again or show it to your friends/family. And this wine just don't give me that feeling at all. It just feels like "the butter between bread and cold cuts" and doesn't really do anything

Alas I must say this is a spectacularly poor wine.
The scent is OK, mostly cooked fruits - simple.
The taste... I don't know how many people would guess on a blid tasting that this is from Tuscany; certainly the quality... look, this is the quality you expect from the tetra-pak wines for 3 EUR a liter.
Horrible.
Avoid.

And I can't help but notice that this is a repeat bad experience with Monsanto; they are on my black list from now.

{winery} tasted about 2oz during my visit, then took the remainder with me. kept at room temp for 2 days, and tried again...completely different, i.e. ready. Lovely structure, and the very essence of Sangiovese - structured, sapid, lovely. I was not (so much) a fan on day one, but saw the promise, and on day 3, it delivered. recommended
