Something eccentric about the wine like the Nicolaus Joly's wines that are totally individuals. Pale yellow, looks bright and fresh. grapefruit, lemon, hint of smoke on the nose. Aromatic. Intriguing. Full creamy mouthfeel with medium+ tart acidity, more lemons, acacia, hint of green apple and grassiness, really grippy with an extended, green finish. Reminds me of Sancerre, but with higher acidity and a flinty mineral quality that makes it unique. |
