2018 Linne Calodo Cherry RedPaso Robles Willow Creek District Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel more |
3/27/2021 - KFloveswine Likes this wine: 99 pointsWe just drank a 2012 last weekend and were excited to try the 2018. First the color. The 2012 had a deep red color. The 2018 was a more traditional Zinfandel purple hue. The nose was complex and inviting. With such a different color we were suprised it smelled so much like the 2012. No mistaking it was the same wine. The taste was amazing. Zinfandel blends tend to be spicy and a bit rough when young. This wine had none of that. Right from the bottle it was so smooth with a spectacular finish that lingered. Notes of juicy fruit and very distinctive vanilla taste that was intoxicating. I cannot wait to see how this wine matures if we can keep from opening it all now. Love love this wine. |

3/20/2021 - KFloveswine Likes this wine: 99 pointsFirst is the color. A deep crimson color. Truely a cherry red color. The nose is slightly musty but still had a light fruity note. Tasting notes. SO SMOOTH! Literally not any bite at all. Seriously so so smooth. Upfront has a juicy fruit notes with well balanced tannins. The finish is worth it alone. By far one of my all time favorites wines. If you have one open it now as it is ready and share with good friends. |

4/29/2018 - Vinoveloretreat Likes this wine: 98 pointsHosted a vertical tasting - 2006, 2007,2008. The 07 was the crowd favorite with the 08 a close second. The 2007 was well balanced and smooth with jamminess and hits of chocolate. Drink it soon as I don’t think it will last much longer. The 2006 was past it’s prime. The 2008 was also lovely though a bit bolder in flavor profile. |

2019 Linne Calodo Cherry RedPaso Robles Willow Creek District Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel more |
11/27/2021 - KFloveswine Likes this wine: 97 pointsYoung and needs a bit of time. Great wine that will only get better with age. More tannic than last years vintage and less oak. Already showing well. I feel it may age better than last years. Typical amazing long finish that is a signature of this wine. Great now and will be a true winner in a few years. |

1/19/2010 - sdatl wrote: 97 pointsThis wine is on my short list of "epiphany" wines -- this wine demonstrated a whole new range of flavors and style with an amazingly elegant take on Zinfandel and a rich, complex wine on the midpalate that lingered on and on for an incredible finish. Elegant, yet spicy, fruity, yet earthy... incredible... I really think that the US should look for more Zin-based blends to create their own"Southern Rhone" wines. Wow. |

5/7/2018 - rustyRudy Likes this wine: 97 pointsTasting pour from their tasting room. 77% Zin, 17%, Syrah, and 6% Mourvèdre . Dark , brooding, deep but this has terrific balancing acidity that highlights the black cherry fruit . Not at all jammy nor overdone and over extracted. Finishes fresh and bright. This terrific Zin! |

6/11/2012 - raydawgone wrote: 97 pointsPopper & poured through Venturi. Beautiful, medium ruby red color. Very aromatic of bramble, aged red meats, briar patch & wild raspberry. Medium-full body with smooth level of acidity & perfect tannins. Powerful flavor of wild raspberry, elderberry, & raw NY strip, with Asian spice on epically long finish. For a CNDP clone, it's much more powerful than a typical Grenache-based blend. Hitting on all cylinders! |

7/23/2017 - sdezutti Likes this wine: 97 pointsWow! This bottle was everything you want in a Grenache based wine. Amazing nose of raspberry liquer, herbs and brambly red fruit. Equally explosive in the mouth. Full-bodied, great acidity and balance; exploding red berries and minerality. This was drinking perfectly for me. One of the best bottles I've had this year. |
