4/21/2024 - AllRed wrote: 93 pointsA blend of 80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc and 10% petite verdot, all co-fermented. This bottle had been decanted for a couple of hours before we tasted it. Deep inky color. Aromas of vanilla, violet, kirsch and cherry cordial. Wonderful silky mouthfeel, with flavors of currants, black cherry, chocolate and mocha. Tannins are very fine not at all obtrusive despite this being so young. There's a subtle hint of vanilla on the long finish. With air this develops a subtle herbaceous quality which is very appealing. 93+ pts. |

4/21/2024 - AllRed wrote: 94 pointsDeep color. Notes of mocha and spice with a mix of red and blue fruit aromas. Plush tannins with flavors of black fruit, mocha, blueberry and chocolate. Full-bodied with fine, elegant tannins and a long finish. The fruit is perfectly ripe and carries the finish...clearly young and in need of a few years in the cellar. From 2029+. |

4/21/2024 - AllRed wrote: 94 pointsA blend of 88% cabernet sauvignon, 11% cabernet franc and 1% petite verdot, again co-fermented. Deep inky opaque color. A captivating bouquet with black currant, graphite, bay leaf and plum, developing floral elements as it breathes in the glass. Full-bodied and plush, with medium tannins and flavors of cassis, mocha, blue fruit and sage. Long finish. Mineral, lavender and mocha elements with more air. Just a lovely wine, and among the three, the one I kept going back to. 94-95 pts. |

4/19/2024 - AllRed wrote: 91 pointsFriday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Blind. Showing some age, this is the lightest wine in the flight. Aromas of cherry, framboise and wild strawberry. Flavors of black cherry, spiced raspberry and Asian spice. Balanced. Finishes with good length. Just really lovely, pure fruit. Delightful- and while this has held up very well there’s no benefit to holding any longer. Drink now. |

Flavors of blackberry and chocolate with a lingering finish. Still has some tannin to integrate as well. Drinking much younger than I would have guessed. This had been double decanted about three hours before the flight was poured. |

Initially a bit muddled, with time in the glass this really begins to shine with elements of black fruit, plum, dried herbs and mint. Full-bodied, the palate follows the bouquet, adding a nice earthy clay-like quality, finishing with good length. Picks up a subtle blue fruit element as it breathes. 90-92 pts. |

Mint and earthy elements add some nuance and keep interest. Full-bodied, with a fair amount of tannin yet to integrate. Guessed Napa Bordeaux blend. (R&D) Do you find this review helpful? 4/19/2024 - AllRed wrote: NRFriday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Double blind. Garnet core with a touch of bricking. Aromas of earth, baked red berry fruit and white pepper. More dark fruit than red on the palate, along with the white pepper elements, finishing with good length. Very good but difficult to identify. Of course once the bag came off the baked fruit and pepper notes made sense and we clearly should have picked this out as a zin. (R&D) |

Popped and poured in the last flight to even things out, pouring a light red color. Notes of baked cherry and red plum with a nice earthy, slightly vegetal, undertone. Medium-bodied, with flavors of ripe red berry fruit and white pepper. Medium finish. Balanced. A nice little wine, very pleasant and easy to enjoy. |
