5/26/2015 - Anthony Lombardi Likes this wine: 87 pointsBrought to a restaurant for dinner, so pretty much pop & pour. Dark scarlet in the glass. The nose shows a mix of red fruit & floral notes. Straightforward Cabernet Franc on the palate. Tart cherries, some black tea and hints of blue fruit are balanced with a healthy acidity. Medium bodied with supple tannins. A very nice Cab Franc. |

11/28/2007 - HurrahSyrah wrote: 91 pointsDecanted for 2 hours. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. This wine exhibited a dark garnet color in the glass. On the nose, aromas of dark cherry, blackberries, and plums were joined by hints of licorice and spice. On the palate, rich flavors of black cherries and blackberries were accentuated by notes of spice, chocolate, and hints of oak. A very young, muscular styled Cabernet that just got better and better throughout the night. The tannins were a bit overbearing upon first taste... but after the full two hours they really integrated and allowed the fruit to shine through. A solid buy that I'm looking forward to opening in a few years time. HS91+ |

5/27/2023 - shorty01 Likes this wine: 92 pointsSoos Creek continues to deliver outstanding quality with their Terrible Beauty bottling. Washington Cabernet Sauvignon and Washington wines in general are very suitable to my palate, and this is no exception. Drinking great now with 3 to 5 years of enjoyment ahead. |

2/22/2016 - skifree wrote: 89 pointsThis came across as quite young, but with classic cabernet flavors of red currant, red berry, and a hint of mint. It had a touch of stewed fruit on trying after a 90 minute decant, which thankfully left after the first glass. As usual with Dave's wines, punches well above the price. |
