This is certainly Californian in nature, but at 12.5% abv and unadorned by secondary notes, this really wants to be a wine from Saumur or Saviginere... but it just can't. This is a very good example of the potential for CA Chenin, but it isn't priced that way. More immediately delicious than complex, dubious QPR. |
