Decanted 2+ hours, tiny bit of fine sediment. Very dark. Black cherries, tobacco, sweet oak and a bit of mocha on the nose. on the palate more sweet black cherries, some licorice and spices, and a good dollop of oak (that is not yet fully integrated). Superb, medium-long finish. Will benefit from a few more years of age as well as a good decant. Well done for a second wine!! 92-93+

Slow ox 45 minutes. Fairly dark. Youthful sweet cassis and French oak aromas. Warm, rich, slightly ripe fruit yet balancing tannins and acid. Long, sweet finish. Most experienced blind tasters thought this was a 20 yr old left bank BDX! Still has a few miles on it before the warranty expires :)

Slow ox one hour. Initially seemed like a large dollop of cabernet - very cassis on the nose and somewhat on the palate. Later lots of plums and spices. Never really seemed like tempranillo, but a tasty blend at just the right balance of ripeness and acidity. Ready to go.
