At that time, it was one of the best California cabs I had tasted and has always had a special place in my heart. It is an unusual wine, given a blend of 2 different vintages...It has some '69 Heitz Martha's Vineyard in the blend. It did not disappoint! Some cedar, leather and raspberry on the nose. It seemed to blossom with air ( quite a surprise). Fruit still present on the palate with a silky finish. Although the wine is on it's very slow downward decent, It still is a very pleasant drink. It did not disappoint! |
