Paso Robles Red Rhone Blend more

A lovely red. GSM is turning out to be my favorite. If you are happy with 2 buck chuck and rate it as "well rounded," this is definitely not the wine for you. This wine is in your face and tasty as all heck. Plums galore, vanilla, and fig. Completely out of balance and at war with itself. A bit more than slightly dry. If you're looking for boring, you best keep looking.

Beautifully clear ruby in the glass. Medium bodied. Cherry and bright fruit are balanced by the vanilla oak. Good balance and structure. A terrific wine.

A gentle honeysuckle sweetness that pairs deliciously with mexican seafood- think Dungeness crab and sea of Cortez shrimp enchiladas in a light green chile cream sauce.

A nice bright red coloring when poured. The initial notes on the nose were primarily fruit driven, particularly blueberry and blackberry with a hint of green on the background. Unfortunately it all disappeared after about 15 minutes in the glass, leaving a monolithic, boring, overly alcholoic (14.5% per the label) wine.
I don't believe it will improve with age.

Family Winemakers. Nose of red cherry fruit with lots of earth and spice, definitely a Rhone Ranger, more of the same on the palate, very tasty and well crafted, great value in red wine, medium/big body, and long finish. Well done!!
