Medium bodied tart lemon-lime flavors quickly give way to wet stony minerals and the bristly acidity. Quite regal in a lighter more elegant style with wonderful energy, fruit takes a back seat. |

Dark ripe blueberry and blackberry favors with a rich dense creamy texture along with some savory qualities of sage, rosemary, and cinnamon. Quite impressive and already delicious, yet enough sweet tannins and lift to obviously improve. Only 3 barrels made sadly. Anxious to try the Greer single vineyard next year after tasting this. Bravo! |

Textually smooth and rich with a pretty underlying frame giving nice lift. The fruit matches the structure perfectly. Pure deep and delicious black fruits with nice spicy elements throughout. Huge potential, but I will not open one for at least a couple of years, although maybe a very long decant would help. Bottle should have a tag "Closed For Business, went fishing" |

Big ripe sweet lush dense broad red cherry and blueberry fruits dominate, quite sweet and bombastic while amazing also very one dimensional today. Lost out in blind tasting to 2012 Schrader RBS which was more subtle and every bit as delicious. Won't open another HSS '10 for long time. |

Amazing depth and well integrated, yet great ying of rich fruit lifted high by the yang of the pretty bristly tension. This has really gained weight from the firm acidic driven wine I recall when first released years ago. Still long way to go and maybe even some upside with even more time. A classic Salon for the ages. Only the 1982 Salon was giving me more pleasure as we drank through 1982, 1985, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2002. |

Bright and nervous with aromas of yeasty biscuits. Notably for the depth delicious crisp apple fruits and wet stone mineral qualities. Initially tight and inky firm flavors, but an hour after decanting this blossomed into WOW! Rich dense lush red and blackberry with sweet tannins and velvety texture. Awesome purity and depth. Shows real breed already. Unusually drinkable, but recommended giving this at least several years to develop even more. This is the real deal! Bravo! |

Rich sweet profile of apples, peach, banana, and pineapple in the center of the best creme brulee on earth, yet amazingly bright and fresh with a finish that I can nearly still taste a day later.
