What really stands out is the play between the tannins and acidity. Tannins are pillowy and the acidity holds everything together, and builds on the finish that lingers for minutes. |

4/11/2024 - North Willis Likes this wine: 92 pointsAs this wine opened up, it showed off an elegant, light bodied character of wild red cherries and mineral notes. Such an enjoyable drink, that kept drawing us back for more. This should improve over the next few years, as the primary notes fall away and the wine takes on bit more weight. |

8/19/2013 - The Drunken Cyclist Likes this wine: 87 pointsRetail ? Some good friends just recently brought this back from their trip out West. Lemony nose that harkens a Muscadet. On the palate the fruit is a bit muted but is quite tart and bright. Ad it warmed up, more grapefruit and honeydew. Very Good. 87-89 Points. |

3/15/2024 - Bluecollar wrote: 92 pointsFloral and earthy on the nose and somewhat muted. Flavors of black cherry, new leather, beef broth, baking spice. Soft but present tannins with a slightly drying and very lingering finish. Still drinking well and similar to my last bottle a few years ago....seems to have slowed down in ageing, so unknown on how long this peak will last. |

3/14/2024 - Bluecollar wrote: 93 pointsReally nice and drinking very well. Dried blueberry and black plumb on the nose. Excellent acidity and structure allowing the black and blue fruits to shine through with meaty overtones, star anise. Finish is somewhat short, but intense and pleasurable. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 92 pointsThe nose is rich, forward, and yet a bit savory with delightful tones of black cherries, currants, raspberries, licorice, savory herbs, kirsch liqueur tones, spice notes, and some violets. There is excellent depth with this having an expressive side that is really enjoyable. The Full bodied feel is plush and balanced with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure certainly shows off some youth and this is a bit larger-scaled at the moment. It will never be a bashful wine, but I can easily see a few years being extremely kind to it. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 90 pointsThe nose is dark-fruited and richer with licorice, raspberries, dark red cherries, violets, spice notes, currants, and some herbs. There is nice depth with the fruit showing a more forward quality. The Full bodied feel is plush and forward with medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is a fun and balanced wine, if a bit on the forward side. It does everything it needs to but it doesn't really have an extra gear it can kick into. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 91 pointsThe nose is dark red fruited and savory with balanced tones of black cherries, raspberries, savory herbs, licorice, vanilla oak, toasty notes, and some violets. There is good depth with this showing off what I love about the grape while still clearly being from the new world. The Full bodied feel is rich, yet balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The structure is still clearly youthful and this could well improve with a few years of aging. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 89 pointsThe nose is well balanced and vibrant with balanced tones of red cherries, black raspberries, red currants, a touch of smoke notes, crushed rocks, roses, wild spices, and licorice notes. There is good complexity to this that is really fun and enticing, but it just lacks some depth that would add a lot of intrigue. The Medium/full bodied feel is silky and balanced with medium acidity and fine-grained, medium+ tannins. This could likely use a few years to flesh out and add some expression. If it does, I can see it strongly hitting some higher notes than it does right now. If not, it's still an excellent Southern France blend that works perfectly in the columbia valley. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 88 pointsThe nose is fresh and juicy with tones of red fruits, berries, violets, blueberries, crushed rocks, and some wild flowers. This is a lively nose that is fairly straightforward. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with crisp, medium+ acidity and medium tannins. This is a fun and balanced Gamay that shows off a more berry-forward style. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 89 pointsThe nose is lifted and fresh with tones of white pepper, limes, saline, pears, jasmine, peaches, some kiwi fruits, and a bit of white flowers. This leans right into the parts of Gruner that I really enjoy while still showing off some more citrus-driven characteristics. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with tart, high acidity. The acidity has some bite and cut that is really enjoyable. This is fun and fresh with good complexity across the nose and palate. I don't know what a few years could or would do for this, but I can see a couple of years helping. |

9/2/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 88 pointsThe nose is fresh and lively with tones of strawberries, citrus notes, peaches, rose petals, pears, and some crushed rocks. This shows nice complexity for what it is and has a lot of freshness. The Medium bodied feel shows off the freshness of the nose along with mouthwatering and crisp, medium+ acidity. This is a fun and fresh Rose that hits the spots you want it to and that is just fine. |

1/19/2024 - ibglowin Likes this wine: 89 pointsHas the floral notes you want from a "Gruvee" but not the acid or zing you want from this varietal. Still pretty decent and fun to note the grapes are grown in WA State. Paired pretty well with a quiche with ham and spinach. |

Nice acidity pulling at the cheeks with a soft round finish that builds with dryining tannings. Could improve, but one of the better mourvedre's from Syncline or Washington. |

12/31/2023 - North Willis Likes this wine: 89 pointsVery nice sparkler with medium ++ acidity and some muted lime and hay notes. Brut Nature style bottled with low dosage. I think this will improve in the next couple years as it takes on a bit of weight. Potential for higher score. 89+ |

12/27/2023 - Bluecollar wrote: 93 pointsEvery few years the Boushey vineyard yields a fantastic syrah, and this one qualifies. Possibly better than my last bottle 18 months ago and should go a few more years with ease. Full bodied with generous red and blue fruit and well integrated tannins. Spice and smoke mid pallet with a somewhat muted yet building finish (which cost it a few points). |

Rich and vibrant on the palate, with berries and chocolate coming through. Hint of residual sugar? Clean finish that stays true. |
