  • As before; pure delicious red fruit up front, only lacks texture and backend complexity that might take it over the top but for what it is it's really nice.

  • The nose is well balanced and vibrant with balanced tones of red cherries, black raspberries, red currants, a touch of smoke notes, crushed rocks, roses, wild spices, and licorice notes. There is good complexity to this that is really fun and enticing, but it just lacks some depth that would add a lot of intrigue. The Medium/full bodied feel is silky and balanced with medium acidity and fine-grained, medium+ tannins. This could likely use a few years to flesh out and add some expression. If it does, I can see it strongly hitting some higher notes than it does right now. If not, it's still an excellent Southern France blend that works perfectly in the columbia valley.

  • Gentle red fruit, reminds me of a RRV pinot up front, thins out on the core before a lean finish on decent acidity. Really fun usage of grenache.
