5/23/2012 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 88 pointsVery nice aged Riesling. Light, toned-down fruit....maybe lighter fruit than it should be, but still very enjoyable. Light petrol notes on the finish, and what a smooth finish this wine has. Would buy again, if I didn't buy a case. |

5/23/2012 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 88 pointsMethinks people are a little too hasty opening this one...it is blended as a "drink now," but I'd give it a little more time. Same grapes used in this wine as the acclaimed Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad. |

5/19/2012 - zachusaf Does not like this wine: 83 pointsSour..No depth, no fruit, no nose. Very disappointed in this. I've had better Pinot at the $10 price point at Costco. |

2006 Twisted Oak *%#&@!Sierra Foothills Red Rhone Blend more |
2/23/2011 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 90 pointsTastes of spice, oak, and blackberry. Quite a nice surprise, very smooth and beautifully blended. Nice long finish with a taste of plum. Would not hesitate to serve this to guests. Impressed with Twisted Oak Winery between this wine and their Grenache. |

2/20/2011 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 89 pointsLittle heat on the nose, but no heat noticeable in the taste or finish. Light to medium tannins, tastes of light red fruit (which really shine through on the finish) and defiantly a hint of smoke. Not any depth to speak of, but a nice little wine from El Jefe. |

2/13/2011 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 79 pointsDisappointing the second time around. Nose stayed hot with alcohol over the 4 hour consumption, and by the end, the wine completely fell apart, displaying none of the delightful earthiness I loved from the first bottle I tried. May have to rethink purchasing any more of this. |

2/7/2011 - zachusaf Does not like this wine: 80 pointsMeh. Tried Louis and Georges. Maybe I'm just not a fan of the Gamay grape. |

I let it decant for another hour. Wine was very "hot," with an overabundant alcohol taste that dominated whatever little actual flavor that was left. Horribly disappointing. |

2008 Kirkland Signature Pinot Noir Carnerosmore |
1/23/2011 - zachusaf Likes this wine: 89 pointsBest wine under $10 I've ever had. Great value for the price, and would still be an outstanding value at $15. Tastes of cherry and smoke. Enjoyed every minute of this bottle. I'll be buying a case. |

1/21/2011 - zachusaf wrote: 88 pointsGreat value for the money, maybe another year in the cellar (2012) before drinking. Smooth for the most part, full bodied with rich tannins, with a wee bit of Malbec to round out the cab. |
