W_Sauternes. #1; (known as a perfect vintage); COLOR-amber; apricot; NOSE-great petrol action; some interesting dried apricots; orange blossom come to mind; little funkiness toward the end (that petrol/alcohol component); TASTE-very pretty apricot toward the end; finishes w/ a burnt penny component; butterscotch; caramel; this wine is exceptional & extraordinary; very youthful (can be put away for another 20-30 years); WS-94; GV-93+ 93+ points |

W_Sauternes. #2; (very wet vintage, but August was perfect); COLOR-beautiful dark golden; NOSE-much more honey; honey meets chlorine; very intriguing; hints of apricots; TASTE-outrageous weight on the mid-palate; Honeycomb cereal; really, really heavy pear component; I'm loving the orange peel aspect; very youthful Sauterne, not ready yet - it's gonna get better from here; solid acidity, but a little flabby in the mid-palate which concerns me a tad; nice long finish; very bright; star fruit on the finish; little hints of pineapple; I'm enjoying this wine; it's got BIG potential; RP-94/96; GV-93 93 points |

W_Sauternes. #3; (Super Hot Vintage); VaynerPAZZZ based on QPR; COLOR-light yellow/amber; NOSE-more similar to the '01, but no chlorine action; a dandelion/flower component; and heavy on the lemon; TASTE-doesn't kill me; a little lighter; reminds me of a lot of late harvest Rieslings or dessert wines from Washington state or Hungary that are half the price; a very solid Sauterne; it's got some good fruit; this is a tricky vintage; not super excited; a very solid effort, but better ways to spend $60 bones; RP-93; GV-90 90 points |
