Wine Library TV, Gary VaynerchukWBW French Cabernet Franc, Episode #435 (4/2/2008) Bourgeil (Cabernet Franc). #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-intense; one of the heaviest pomegranate noses ever on WLTV; surrounded by red radishes until your face falls off; like a farmers market; little bit of pickle juice; very complex & complete; a little dark chocolate; TASTE-this wine is bringing thunder; really dry; a more polished, sophisticated & seasoned version of the last wine ('05 Gasnier Chinon Vielles Vignes); more polished & elegant version; more refined & cleaner on the transition; really well made; Bordeaux lovers should like this wine; heavy English pea flavor profile; I like the dryness, complexity & weight of this wine; tremendous food wine; reminds me of a super wealthy 47 year old business man who also wants to play basketball in Harlem; can cellar for 5-10 years; DS-91/92; GV-91/92 (91-92) points |
