1/31/2015 - jamieirving Likes this wine: 90 pointsFrom the J. Lohr stable. This "Zinfandel" is actually 87% of the named grape with a touch of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Vaildiguie, mainly sourced from Paso Robles. Not a heavy Zin- lighter than anticipated in colour. Jammy berry fruit, wood, cracked pepper, baking spices and tobacco. Soft, lovely body and with a touch sweetness. Great value! |

8/15/2011 - BrandrB wrote: 83 pointsPaso Robles blend of 88% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Syrah, 4% Syrah, and 1% Grenache. Produced by J. Lohr. Dark garnet color. Raspberry, cherry, spice aromas. Medium bodied palate: plum, raspberry, and black pepper. Medium length finish. A touch hot, but otherwise makes for easy drinking. Altogether, not bad for an $8 wine. |
