This showed notes of nectarines, apricots, orange blossom, bees wax and ginger. The palate was bright and lifted with ripe orchard fruits, ginger tart, orange peel, and citrus, the mid palate showed great texture and mineral notes, great mouth feel finishing slightly rich. yum |

This certainly won't be for everyone and on first taste it nearly tastes sweet, my guess is that they pick this vineyard super late since the fruit is golden in terms of texture along with the oak. Aromas of golden pear, apple tart, ginger, white florals, vanilla tart, honey and lemon balm. The palate was rich and succulent with juicy golden orchard fruit, very sweet spices, honey, nougat and gummy bears. The mid-palate is full finishing with notes of sweet spices. Chewy |

The lovely bouquet of mixed red and black fruits with a hint of lavender floral and menthol (I suspect there are nearby Eucalyptus trees). |

Bravo! I have now added them (antithesis of Aubert) into my cellar aside from Aubert chardonnay. Now does this a mere reflection of the 2021 vintage magic and does it hold up after 5-10 years with development on the richness of bouquet while keeping the vibrancy of fruits? |

9/23/2023 - wlsch Likes this wine: 91 pointsPnP. Received as a gift. I don't drink a lot of CA pinot nori (and I drink more OR pinot than anything else), so this is kind of outside of my wheelhouse. There's a lot of dark fruit (dark cherry, dark berry), slight spice, and some earthy loam in the nose. The fruit is riper and is slightly more candied than I expect in pinot. It has some alcohol warmth (label says 14.4%) in the finish. Has some well integrated tannins in the finish. Medium acidity, but the riper fruit character makes me wish it had a tad more acidity. This is clearly a wine that needs some time, but stylistically, this isn't my favorite. It's well done, but for my tastes it's a bit too big and ripe. Again, these are my stylistic preferences. If I had more, I'd wait 3-5 years before trying it again. |
