This certainly was a full bodied, slightly reductive, honeyed style of chardonnay. This certainly won't be for everyone and on first taste it nearly tastes sweet, my guess is that they pick this vineyard super late since the fruit is golden in terms of texture along with the oak. Aromas of golden pear, apple tart, ginger, white florals, vanilla tart, honey and lemon balm. The palate was rich and succulent with juicy golden orchard fruit, very sweet spices, honey, nougat and gummy bears. The mid-palate is full finishing with notes of sweet spices.
